1)   What is the cost for your program?  Students that come year round pay tuition a month in advance.  For students in the 10 month program; tuition is paid 5 times a year unless a monthly payment option is chosen.  The basic cost for the program is $11.00 per hour.  Your contract includes all vacations , holidays, and school closings.  Any extra time you have not contracted for is billed seperately at $11.00 per hour. 
2)   What ages does your program serve?  Infants; 1 month - 14 months, Toddlers from 15 months to 2.8 years and Preschoolers; 2.9 to 5 years, located in separate classrooms. 
3)   What happens if my child doesn’t adjust to school?  For any new child, the first four weeks are a trial period.  If after that time it is decided that your child is not ready, you will only pay for the contracted days during those four weeks.  All other  tuition money will be refunded.
4)   How much do you charge if we are late in picking up our child?  There is no charge for the first 15 minutes you are late, after that you are charged for ½ hour in 1/2 hour increments.   There is also early drop-off for preschoolers from 8:00 – 8:45, either contracted or as needed.
5)   What if I need my child to stay beyond his contracted time?  Extended day options available from 1:00 – 6:00.
6)   What happens if my child misses a day?  We have a liberal make-up policy.  If you miss a scheduled day for any reason, you can arrange to make it up on any day we have open spots. 
7)   Do we get a refund if school is closed?  School is open year round and we will try to open evry day.  There is no refund for days we need to close early due to weather.
8)   What is the philosophy of your school?  Children learn by interacting with their environment and others.  We help to develop socialization skills and use a hands on play and exploration style.  We have a balance of structured and unstructured activities with individual,  small and large group interactions.
9)   How many children do you have per teacher?  The Teacher/Student ration is 1 to 5, better than the state requirement of 1 to 10.
10)   What if my child is not toilet trained?  Toilet training not required, we do what you are doing.
11)    Do kids come to  school when they are sick?  Our policy is your child should be free of any symptoms without medication for 24 hours.  They are not required to stay home for a runny nose or a cough.  If a child becomes sick during the day, they will be seperated from their peers and kept comfortable, until their caretaker arrives for pick up.  
12)   How will I know how my child is doing?  You will have daily interaction with your child's teacher.  At your request, a conference with the teacher can be scheduled for a Friday between 8:30 - 12:30.  Progress reports are also written bi-annually; one in November and a more detailed checklist in April.
13)   When are parents allowed to visit the classroom?  We are a family friendly preschool, parents are welcome in the classroom at any time.  Prior notification is not necessary but would be appreciated.
14)   Do teachers come and meet the children outside at arrival time?  For drop-off and pick-up; parents must accompany their children into the building and make sure they are checked in or out by a teacher.
15)   What if my child needs to bring something from home?  Your child may bring a toy or comfort item to school.  No weapons or electronic games are allowed. 
16)   What type of outside play area do you have?  There is a fenced in play yard with swings, play toys, etcetera.  We go outside every day, year round weather permitting.
17)   What is your policy on children with allergies?  We are a nut free school.  We also want to know if your child has any other allergies so we can check our snacks.
18)   What do you serve for daily snacks?  Crackers, fruits and vegetables are served at snack, supplied by the school.  We also serve 100% juice and water.
19)   Do you offer a summer program?  We are open year round and currently offer a half day with an extended option summer program for between 8 - 10 weeks.
